They're in Paris and a lot of shit I don't remember is in play. The temporarily have their little fantasy hiding and healing in an apartment. Domino is the secret organization she’s now teamed up with.

Paige goes against their orders to find the syndicate there that is underground. They are in cahoots with the Rag N Bone Man (who is responsible for Paige going to Sheol). One of their leaders is missing which she figures out is because he’s been betrayed and captured.

She possesses Menard’s pregnant(???) wife (evil leader). She goes against Domino and does it an extra time alone and comes across someone from the colony (Cade, a red coat which is a thing I don't remember) who is working with Menard to defeat Nashira and all the rephaim so he asks her to get caught and he’ll help get her out. The baby is actually his. Menard also wants all clarifvoyants dead so Paige is like no thanks I’m out and escapes in the dumbest possible way.

While there she also discovers:

- They’re keeping a Rephaim in the basement and experimenting on him. They found out that they can become Emim.
- She figures out the location of Sheol II is Versailles
- She steals a ledger with who has been captured and who gets credit.
- Jaxon is the overseer (at least I think that’s when she figures it out. Doesn’t matter.)

Paige has so many illnesses and injuries etc that I really don’t know how this bitch is alive but she keeps going.

Arcturus finds who is responsible for graffiti in support of Paige so they team up to go to Sheol II and free prisoners. Which includes Nadine and Zeke and the 3rd Syndicate leader Le Vieux Orphelin. Domino doesn’t know this is happening but also tasks Paige with going there and murdering Jaxon.

They get there by going underground which sucks. Oh and Ivy from Sheol I also appears before this and wants to go and face the Rephaim that tortured her but rightly decides against it in the tunnels. Paige is having a rough time in the tunnels from when she was locked up and water boarded but she gets through it anyway.

They get there with a half baked plan and somehow free people. Paige can’t bring herself to kill Jaxon. She burns everything down instead. Arcturus and her also (but mainly Arcturus) fight a bunch of Rephaim as well.

They escape back through the tunnels but Leandre (one of the clairvoyants they’re teamed up with) lied and while freeing prisoners only takes friends and family back into the tunnels, leaving the other prisoners to fend for themselves. Paige is pissed and tries to go back but then the underground starts flooding and she gets separated from everyone but navigates the caverns and somehow doesn’t die and they find her again. (Later she's like maybe it was Jaxon!)

Then they are in Le Vieux Orphelin's hidden caverns where she heals because she is once again ill and injured. Nadine and Zeke said they chose Jaxon after the scrimmage because they were trying to get money to go back to the Americas. (I do not remember exactly where they are from.) But of course they do not get money and Nadine only disliked Paige because when she was a mollisher she got more money than her. She wants to be part of the revolution and get help from overseas.

Paige talks to Le Vieux Orphelin (while in the hot springs because why not) and he has a mask permanently attached to his face. She tells him pretty much everything except about Domino. He agrees to team up with the Mime Order. She asks if he would team up with Menard and he says he’ll think about it. He also gives her a pretty mask he made.

Paige and Arcturus go back to the safe house and have sex which fine whatever. She wants something not related to the war in her life so sure I’ll allow it.

Domino says they need to abandon the safe house because they might be compromised. and she'll be back for them later. Arcturus is in pain because of his scars or whatever idk. While he's reseting she goes to talk to Lenadre, but Arcturus gets taken while this is happening. Then it's a whole thing where she finds him via the golden cord but when she gets there he's dead in the eyes and says he's betrayed her and is back with Nashira blah blah blah. Very clearly something else going on but she believes that and then escapes again. And then has to warn everyone that Arcturus knows too much.

At some point Paige finds the Rag N Bone man almost dead and it turns out to be some man I don't remember from London who is a book nerd. Jaxon is the one who has left him for dead.

Someone else in Domino has gone missing and they disband that group and Paige is no longer Domino but they agree to link up with the Mime Order. Ducos or whatever the leader's name is gives her her backpack from the safehouse and says Arcturus must have thrown it out the window to hide it which confuses Paige if he's on their side. She finally opens the thing from her father but it's a note from Jaxon that her inheritance is at the bank and he has to meet him there. 

Then there's this whole dramatic thing where Le Vieux Orphelin exposes the other leaders and takes back the Paris syndicate.

Then Paige and Leandre and Le Vieux Orphelin go to some sort of masquerade ball to intercept Menard about teaming up after all. Cade helps but then after Paige walks with Cade and then she blacks out and wakes up in Menard's basement blah blah blah. Cade is also a dreamwalker and took over Arcturus's body and then Paige needs to find him but then also Paris is being bombed. And then someone from the Paris syndicate finds her and then allegedly for her own good knocks her out and then the book is over.

Also during the course of this book Portugal and Spain are taken by Scion.

Every part of this is nonsense and I can't wait to read more.
